We Welcome Your Interest in RSA Fellowship 2026 – 2028!

The RSA Fellowship Network Program will begin taking applications for the RSA Fellowship 2026 – 2028 from interested Candidates in January 2026.

As you know, there are very few fellowships with a primary focus on refractive surgery, which is precisely why we have created the RSA Fellowship Network Program. The RSA Fellowship Program is a 2-year program. Year-1 is the “Fellow” year which follows the traditional fellowship format which emphasizes didactics, skills transfer, surgical logging, and more. Year-2 is the “Associate” year, is a year of independent work, which can be spent within the same practice or at a new location entirely, where the focus is on surgical skills, practice leadership training, and the additional broad range of skills required to build a refractive surgery practice.

Matched or Not Matched – Either Way, the RSA Fellowship Fits

Whether you have “Matched” to a fellowship program, or choose to only apply to the RSA Fellowship Network Program, we will do our best to accommodate your desire to participate.

The RSA Fellowship opportunity is outside the Match and is higher paying than most in-Match positions.

Program Fee*

RSA Fellowship Network per site fee is $15,000 USD per “Fellow” (Year 1) year defined as July 2026 – June 2028
$5,000 USD per “Associate Fellow” (Year 2) for an Associate Fellow in a year defined as July 2027 – June 2028.
The Program Fee may be paid by either the Preceptor/Mentor or the Practice, or by the Fellow/Associate Fellow.

*NOTE: Fees may be adjusted to accommodate local financial conditions. For non-US sites where the practice’s standard price for bilateral LASIK is less than $5,000 USD, first-year fees for the program are set at the practice’s standard price for 3 bilateral LASIK procedures and second-year fees are set at the practice’s standard price for 1 bilateral LASIK procedure.
